The first academic exchange program of the EAEU experts opened in HSE
On November 15, the official opening of the academic exchange program between the Eurasian Economic Union countries was held in HSE by Centre for Comprehensive European and International Studies (CCEIS) as a part of the research project “Developing a Modern Paradigm of the Development of the EAEU with Regard to Global Challenges”.
A welcoming speech to the young experts was made by the Director of CCEIS Timofey Bordachev, as well as Deputy Director of the Protocol and Organizational Support Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mr. Zhaksylyk Daniyar Elubayuly.
The on-site part of the exchange program with rich educational, scientific and discussion curriculum which will take place from November 15 to December 14, 2018. It is attended by 18 young prospective researchers from partner universities and research institutes of the EAEU member states. The exchange will result in the preparation and presentation of the analytical report on the Union’s development prospects “Image of the future of the EAEU from the perspective of academic community”, as well as the development of the groundwork for successful integration.
On the first day HSE Research Professor Fyodor Lukyanov gave a lecture, dedicated to the future of the world by 2045 and main global trends in politics, economy, and technology. A lecture by Professor Glenn Diesen on the role of geo-economic coalitions in the new industrial revolution was also held on an opening day.
At the end of the first day of the academic exchange program, young researchers began their group projects. Each group was assigned with a specific task related to the further development of the integration of the states within the Union.
