Water Balance

World has seen a growing shortage of fresh water in recent decades. As a result, the efficient use of water resources has become one of the most important strategic sources of strengthening any state in the international arena.

Efficient use of water has begun increasing the international competitiveness of countries, and geographical features allowed a number of states to directly limit the access of neighboring countries to water resources or use this opportunity as a political pressure lever.

Thus, the water factor began to directly influence the balance of power and the nature of relations between states around the world. The influence of the water factor has already created new forms of international interaction: the technology market has made it possible to increase or redistribute water reserves and to sell water resources or water-intensive products online. It became clear that considering water invested in the production of a particular product is an effective tool both for economic development and international security level increase.
