Arctic region: new agenda

The project is aimed at studying the development processes of the Arctic region, its role in the world economy and international relations. One of its main targets is to develop solutions improving the state policy for the Russian Arctic development. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of restrictions on the development of resource and logistics projects in the northern regions, as well as maximizing their multiplier effects for the development of the national economy. An important component of the project is assesments of prospects for international cooperation in the Arctic, both within the framework of multilateral formats of cooperation (including the Arctic Council) and on a bilateral basis (including joint Russian-Chinese initiatives).

The project is being implemented within the framework of the international economic research sector.
