Ekaterina Kosevich’s book has been longlisted for the Moscow Literary Biennale Prize

The book Axolotl: The Legend of the Cowardly Aztec God by Ekaterina Kosevich — a Latin America expert, Candidate of Political Sciences, and Leading Research Fellow at the HSE University Centre for Comprehensive European and International Studies — has officially been included in the longlist of the prestigious Moscow Literary Biennale Prize in the “Children’s Prose” category.

The Moscow Literary Biennale Prize is an international literary award presented every two years for significant achievements in contemporary literature. The prize was established by the International Union of Writers to identify and support talented authors.

Axolotl: The Legend of the Cowardly Aztec God is an unusual and compelling book written and illustrated by Ekaterina Kosevich. Drawing on original historical sources, the author reconstructs the fascinating legend of Xolotl — the Aztec god who, attempting to avoid sacrifice for the creation of the Universe, transformed himself into an axolotl salamander.
