Egor Prokhin Took Part in the Boao Forum for Asia 2026

Egor Prokhin, an expert at the Centre for Comprehensive European and International Studies (CCEIS) of HSE University and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, took part in the anniversary annual conference of the Boao Forum for Asia 2026, held on Hainan Island from March 24 to 27, 2026.

Following the forum, Egor Prokhin’s article, “Boao 2026: Asia in an Era of Fragmentation,” was published in the journal Russia in Global Affairs. The article focuses on the key outcomes of the forum and discusses Asia’s development prospects amid growing global fragmentation.

During the forum, Egor Prokhin also gave interviews to People’s Daily and CCTV. In his comments to the Chinese media, he highlighted China’s significant progress in the development of humanoid robotics, intelligent manufacturing, and smart cities. He also emphasized the positive momentum of the Hainan Free Trade Port, including advances in policy, infrastructure, and technological development, and noted the importance of these processes for the future expansion of Russia–China cooperation in technology, industry, and trade.
